Résumé: This work focuses on the elaboration and characterization of polymers based on EGPEMA (ethylene glycol phenyl ether methacrylate) in the presence of crosslinking agent. The objective of this study is to establish the physicochemical properties of the materials developed to optimize the elaboration of PDLC (polymer dispersed liquid crystal) composites. We opted for the photopolymerization process under UV irradiation for different composition of the system. The infrared kinetic monitoring of the EGPEMA / TPGDA (95/5) (w / w) system with 2% photoinitiator showed a total conversion of the acrylic function compared to the EGPEMA / PPGDA (95/5) (w / w) and EGPEMA / PPGDA (96/4) (w / w) systems. The thermal aging effect under UV radiation has been studied such that the thermal degradation in the systems has been very observable for the 4% PPGDA composition, whereas the photodegradation is not complete after a time of 51 hours.
