The comparison of each movie reflects on the cultural, political, and ideological concerns of their respective times, highlighting the rift between nationalism and culture in this media. Through cinematic, psychological and potential ideological analyses and enigmatic compression highlighting the sound design characters and the narrative structure, the study concludes with an explanation of the shifting attitudes towards war cinema and the role of filmmakers in honoring the legacy of those whom Erich Maria Remarque wanted to honor.Item Technological Awareness in Primary Education: Case of Techouar Sid Ahmed Primary School(University of Tlemcen, 2026-02-09) BENDELLAA El-KawtherIn the digital age, technology has become an essential component of modern education, offering new opportunities for engagement, personalized learning and skill development. However, the integration of educational technology in primary schools, particularly in developing countries, remains inconsistent and often hindered by various challenges. In the aftermath of World War II and amid Cold War tensions, American society experienced political paranoia, moral disorientation, and cultural fragmentation. This study examines how Miller dramatises these tensions through characters facing existential crises. Combining Sartre’s existentialism with new historicist methods, the dissertation situates the play’s dilemmas within their socio-political context, showing how Miller’s characters are shaped by historical and ideological forces. The play’s fragmented structure and its blending of memory and trauma reflect Sartre’s theatre of situations and align with new historicism’s focus on ideology and discourse. The work is divided into two chapters. Chapter one lays the theoretical foundation, outlining Sartre’s philosophy and its influence on postwar American theatre, alongside key concepts of new historicism and its application to theatre. Chapter two offers a close reading of After the Fall, analysing how its characters embody existential conflict and mirror broader societal shifts. The analysis shows that the play transcends autobiography to become a cultural text expressing the moral contradictions of its time. Through its synthesis of existentialist thought and historicist critique, this study highlights how theatre articulates the human search for meaning in an unstable world.Item Ethical considerations of using AI in education : Case of Master 1 didactics students in the department of English at the University Of Tlemcen(University of Tlemcen, 2026-02-09) KHEROUFI Youcef; BECHIKHI Mohammed El AmineThis research aims to explore the ethical considerations that arise among EFL Master 1 Didactics students at The University of Tlemcen. In Algeria, however, medical faculties continue to rely predominantly on French, creating significant linguistic barriers for students aiming to engage with international academic and professional contexts. This study investigates the potential for integrating Medical English into the curriculum at Abou Bakr Belkaid Tlemcen University more precisely faculty of Medicine and explores the challenges that hinder its effective implementation. The research examines both theoretical frameworks and field-based data to assess the institutional, pedagogical, and linguistic factors influencing the adoption of English in medical education. It draws from applied linguistics and language acquisition theory, particularly Guy Cook’s emphasis on meaningful input and contextual learning. A qualitative methodology was used, combining questionnaires and interviews with students and teachers respectively to gain insight into their experiences, perceptions, and expectations. The findings reveal that while both groups recognize the importance of English for medical success, efforts are undermined by limited curriculum time, insufficient teacher training, and inconsistent language policies.
