The present study endeavours to empirically investigate an ESP situation where master physics students at the university of Tlemcen encountered difficulties while writing scientific papers. Based on the results obtained from the mixed methods of data collection and analysis, this work has argued that the main difficulties lie in terms of format and content. This is why rethinking about the ESP course is more than needed. In addition to this, training language teachers to cope with those difficulties should alert the staff to ensure that training as well as clarify the underlying methodology of materials developments and adaptation.en_US
