Teaching a language requires culture incorporation since they are intertwined. However, there is still an absence of the cultural component in the language teaching syllabus such as that of English for tourism students at the Vocational Training Centre of Tlemcen which is still restricted to grammar instruction. Therefore, this work sought to look for students’ knowledge of and attitude towards the target language culture with the aim of raising their cultural awareness through the incorporation of culture in the ESP classroom. This case study used three research instruments (a questionnaire, an interview, and a classroom observation ) to achieve the above stated objectives. The results revealed that infrequent and inadequate cultural content was included in teaching ESP to students of tourism; this led them to have a limited knowledge of the target language culture. Thus, it seems necessary to raise their cultural awareness so that they interact successfully with foreign tourists in their workplace.en_US
