This research work endeavours to examine the phenomenon of code switching by Arabic language teachers from Algerian Arabic to Modern Standard Arabic in daily life conversation. It attempts to diagnose the reasons that stand behind this linguistic behaviour. It takes Tlemcen school teachers as a case study. By means of a set of research tools, this sociolinguistic inquiry has hypothesized that the determinant factors are: attitudes towards MSA and AA, the teaching experience, and the topic discussed.en_US
