Abstract
Oral comprehension is one of the most indispensable skills in teaching – learning a
foreign language. This activity is based on complex mental operations, hence the need to
introduce other didactic aids to improve it and to facilitate focusing it on meaning. The
use of the audio book as a didactic medium can play a big role not only in the richness
and diversity of language learning in the classroom, but also it creates a more lively and
attractive atmosphere than any other text. The experiment we conducted in college with
2nd AM students allowed us to verify the positive effects of the audio-book on improving
the teaching-learning of oral comprehension.
