Abstract
Nuclear medicine is a branch of medicine which uses radioactive products for diagnostic or
therapeutic purposes, the basic principle of nuclear medicine is to inject the patient with radiopharmaceutical products which have the property of attaching themselves to the organs and
the patient's tissues, then capture the emitted waves using a gamma camera.
The purpose of radiation protection is to identify, prevent and limit the health and
environmental risks resulting from ionizing radiation. This is why all personnel
professionally exposed to ionizing radiation must benefit from dosimetric monitoring,
therefore dosimetric monitoring of the job profile in the nuclear medicine department is
mandatory. Fore dosimetric monitoring of the job profile in the nuclear medicine department
is mandatory.
