Abstract
Currently, the use of renewable energies, in particular solar photovoltaics, is largely in the
majority. As such, improving the performance of cells based on Cu (In, Ga) Se2 has become
very important for photovoltaic research.
The study conducted in this thes is mainly based on the study of increasing the efficiency of the
solar cell using SCAPS software to perform the simulation. Our study is summarized in two
parts the first is to use the TCO as anti-reflective layer where the structure of the solar cell is
composed of TCO / CdS / CIGS and the second part we added SnS as BSF layer to the structure
of the cell so it becomes TCO / CdS / CuIn1-xGaxSe / SnS. We challenged the characteristic I
= f (V) which isthe main technique used to characterize a solar cell, we defined the photovoltaic
parameters: the open circuit voltage, the short circuit current, the form factor, and the efficiency
conversion.
