The modern era has witnessed radical changes at all levels, which have been reflected in the modern literature. With the spread of liberation movements in the world, a number of contemporary writers have emerged, some writers wrote books as a hobby and desire, some of them have written as a result of political circumstances such as exile. Among the exile category is the Spanish writer Max Aub, who was exiled by the French authorities to live in Algeria and exactly at Djelfa, as a result of his political positions. In my thesis, I profoundly studied the life of this author and what he presented to modern literature, within two chapters. The first chapter concernsthe origins and life of Max Aub, from the very beginning of his life, mentioning all the circumstances that were responsible of his great work, represented by his book “Djelfa Diairies”, which he wrote in Mexico. The second chapter deals with a structural study of two poems of his book. We hope, we have been successfulin this work, and we expect it to be an opening door for higher studies in the same subject.en_US
