dc.description.abstractThe internet provides a new and efficient tool for learning.Iit is used for different teaching purposes and has a positive impact on the overall teaching-learning environment since it overcomes barriers of space and time and opens new possibilities for better learning atmosphere that leads to academic achievement.Along this line of thought, the present investigation aims at enhancing students’ communivative competence through web-based materials,which is so important for their academic achievement and suggesting accordingly the appropriate materials needed in the classroom.The present research work includes a case study of 2nd years masters’ students at the Departement of English, in the University of Tlemcen. Data were collected through two instruments of research, a students’ questionnaire and a teachers’ interview. Qualitative and Quantitative analyses were proceeded in order to have insights into master students’ needs as well as attitudes towards the integration of webbased materials in the classroom to mprove their communicative competence.After analysis, it was revealed that teachers perceived that the use of ICTs in their classes was considered as a great means to enriche students’ communicative abilities. It was also shown that the integration of web-based materials in teaching was positively accepted by students.en_US
