Résumé: The objective of the present work is to model and optimize the orange methyl photodegradation in the presence of Ce / ZnO at different levels using an experimental design and more specifically the response surface methodology with a central composite design "CCD" The influence of the MO concentration, the catalyst concentration and the pH of the reaction The photocatalytic activity of all the catalysts was evaluated under the UVA irradiations. After 60 minutes of irradiation, the catalyst is observed 2% Ce / ZnO is the most optimal catalyst. After the experiments conducted, the photodegradation efficiency of the MO is between 26.21% and 99.87%, the RSM makes it possible to describe in a correct manner the influence of these three experimentals parameters on the effectiveness of the treatment. The optimal values of the parameters: pH = 10.34, the concentration in MO = 27.25 ppm and the mass of catalyst = 80.75 mg giving a maximum yield (100%) The second-order prediction model reliability obtained for the multiple regression-based degradation yield was tested by the analysis method (ANOVA). This analysis has shown that the model is highly significant and adequate with the experimental results.
