Résumé: Cloud computing is a technology that offers several services. It has advantages and disadvantages. The first drawback we can talk about is the energy consumption that is of paramount importance in Data Centers, as its cost is very high because of its servers and cooling system as well as the infrastructure elements network. Our study focuses mainly on the network aspect of the energy consumption in the Cloud and more precisely the structure (topology) of the latter. Topology is an important factor in reducing energy consumption by choosing the most efficient one. The choice of the topology used is essential. The latter can be of basic type such as topology bus, star ... etc., or more advanced type such as: DCell, BCube, FiConn ... etc. The purpose of this study is to highlight the influence of the topology in the energy consumption in the cloud, as well as the determination of the best structure among those studied.
