Résumé:	The present research work deals with a sociolinguistic phenomenon which examines the phenomenon of code-switching by Arabic language learners from Algerian Arabic to Modern Standard Arabic in daily life conversation. It endeavours to provide a detailed account of a field work on the linguistic behaviour of students at the Department of Arabic, Tlemcen University.
