Variouscardiacimagingmodalitiesallowvisualizationoftheleftventricularcavity. Echocardiographyisthemostwidelyusedtechniquebycardiologistsinroutineclinical practice duetoitsmanyadvantages.Theprimarymethodforestimatingclinicalpa- rameters isLVsurfacesegmentationfrom2Dechocardiographicimagesequences.The accurate evaluationoftheLVchamber’sfunctionreliesonthequalityofthesegmentation results. However,LVmanualdelineationbycardiologistsisdifficult,time-consuming,and imprecise duetothelowqualityofechocardiographicimages. Therefore, thereisaneed to automaticallysegmenttheLVfromechocardiographicimagesequencestoovercome these challenges.
