The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between gut dysbiosis, oxidative stress and osteoporosis, as well as the influence of dietary habits and certain biological factors on bone health. Our study was conducted among a population in the wilaya of Tlemcen using a questionnaire covering anthropometric data, dietary habits, digestive symptoms and lifestyle-related parameters. The results show a high prevalence of digestive disorders, as well as low levels of calcium, vitamin D, ferritin, GSH, catalase and IL-10. Conversely, the increase in MDA, triglycerides and CRP suggests the presence of a chronic inflammatory state contributing to the degradation of bone microarchitecture and the worsening of bone fragility. These observations suggest a close link between gut dysbiosis, inflammation, oxidative stress and the development of osteoporosis. Thus, a preventive approach incorporating nutritional balance and gut health appears essential in the prevention of this condition.enIntestinal dysbiosisIntestinal malabsorptionOsteoporosisCalciumVitamin DOxidative stress.Intestinal dysbiosis and osteoporosis: The role of vitamin D and calcium metabolism
