A Raspberry Pi 4 gateway communicates with Siemens SIMATIC PLCs using the S7 protocol (Snap7 library), while a SoftEther VPN Layer 2 tunnel ensures secure remote access, full TIA Portal connectivity, and transparent LAN extension — extendable to Rockwell and Schneider platforms. The solution is validated on a real motor speed control system, culminating in the development of PLC Monitor, a custom Flask/Nginx web dashboard enabling real-time PLC variable monitoring and control.enWeb-Based PLC SupervisionRemote Industrial AccessLayer 2 VPNTIA Portal Remote ConnectivitySnap7Raspberry Pi GatewayIIoT.Programming and Supervision of PLCs from the internet networkThesis
