Étude narrative de la marginalisation et de la violence dans Bel Abîme de Yamen Manaï
(University of Tlemcen, 2026-03-11) Sebaihi Tani Ibrahim El Khalil Anes
(University of Tlemcen, 2026-03-11) HABBOUL Ahlem
This research work, entitled "Master's Students’ Perception of the Impact of Project-Based Learning",
aims to analyze the perception of Master's students in Language, Communication and Civilization,
Literature (Master 1 and 2) regarding this methodology in their educational process. The study was
conducted with Master 1 and 2 students at the University of Tlemcen. Two chapters were developed:
one theoretical and one practical. A questionnaire was chosen as the tool for data collection, and the
results reveal a predominantly positive perception of PBL. The students highlight its usefulness in
developing practical skills and promoting engagement. It is concluded that PBL has a significant
formative impact.
A Comparative Analysis of Modern Standard Arabic and English Instruction in Algerian Primary School: Opportunities and Obstacles
(University of Tlemcen, 2026-03-11) AHMED BRAHIM Samira
This study investigates the growing role of English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) in
Algerian primary schools, contrasting it with Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), a language
often perceived as a second language by students due to their predominant use of Algerian
Arabic (Darija) at home. Through a comparative analysis of pedagogical approaches, the
study highlights systemic challenges, including disparities in teacher training, resource
allocation, and leaners engagement between EMI and MSA classrooms. Findings reveal
tensions between Algeria’s commitment to MSA as a national language and the increasing
demand for English proficiency in global and economic spheres. The study proposes targeted
reforms, such as scaffolding MSA instruction through Darija, enhancing EMI teacher
preparedness, and rebalancing curricular priorities to align with learners’ linguistic realities
and socioeconomic needs. By contextualizing these issues within postcolonial language policy
debates, this research offers insights for multilingual education systems navigating similar
divides between local identity and global competitiveness.
Exploring The Influence of Reflective Teaching Practices on Learners’Academic Achievement: A Case Study of Mixed level Secondary School learners at Rebie Fatima , Maliha Hamidou and Ghzwani Mouhamed Schools.
(University of Tlemcen, 2026-03-11) BOUAYAD Hidayet; Marwa KHELLOUT
This research investigates the influence of reflective teaching practices on learners' academic
achievement on secondary school. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to both teachers and
learners, as well as interviews with professors , teachers and inspector. The findings reveal that many teachers
engage in reflective practices, such as self-evaluation and peer discussions, which help them improve their
teaching methods and handle classroom challenges. Furthermore, the study highlights a positive relationship
between reflective teaching and learners’ development in critical thinking, performance , and motivation. In
conclusion, reflective teaching contributes not only to teachers' professional development but also to a more
engaging learning environment.
Unlocking language through codes: linguistic features and cognitive benefits of cryptograms in gravity falls
(University of Tlemcen, 2026-03-11) RAHMOUN Yasmine Nassiba
This extended essay explores the narrative and cognitive functions of cryptographic features in
multimedia, with the attention to the animated series Gravity Falls. The study aims to
investigatethe ways in which hidden codes and ciphers such as Caesar, Atbash, A1Z26, and
Vigenère assist in the creation of narrative meaning and enhance the cognitive engagement of
the audience. Using qualitative methods in content analysis and narrative analysis, the study
considers the ways in which coded messages add richness to the plot, encourage active
watching, and challenge problem-solving and linguistic skills. The results confirm two main
hypotheses: first, that cryptographic elements are effective story enhancers that reach multi level story telling; second, that deciphering codes activates cognitive processes involved in
language acquisition, critical thinking, and symbolic meaning. The study concludes that
narrative cryptography has vast possibilities for inter-disciplinary application, particularly in
learning where it may promote innovative pedagogies centered around critical thinking and
motivational learning
