Exploring EFL learners’ Information Technology Use in Dissertation Writing: Case of Second Year Master’s Students at Tlemcen University
(University of Tlemcen, 2026-03-09) KICHOU Mohammed Yassine
This thesis explores the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
tools by second-year Master’s students in the English Department at Tlemcen University,
focusing on their dissertation writing process. It examines the extent and manner of ICT
integration, the benefits such tools offer (e.g., grammar checkers, citation managers, AI-based
tools), and the challenges faced by these students (e.g., digital illiteracy, over-reliance on
technology, lack of training). Using student and teacher questionnaires, the study reveals that
while students acknowledge the value of ICT in improving efficiency and accuracy, their use
of these tools often lacks critical depth. Educators agree on ICT's potential but stress the need
for structured training and ethical use. The research concludes with recommendations for
pedagogical reforms, formal ICT instruction, and institutional support to optimize the role of
technology in academic writing

(University of Tlemcen, 2026-03-09) محبوبي منال فراح
This scientific study examines the impact of using translation as an educational
tool in raising the level of fifth-grade primary school students in foreign
languages. This study facilitates the understanding of linguistic concepts and
links them to information they already know. It also highlights the importance
of translation in motivating students and increasing their passion for learning,
which positively affects their academic performance. The results demonstrate
the possibility of employing translation within the educational strategies used,
which helps improve the quality of education and develop academic levels.
Receptive Vocabulary Comprehension among Children with Down Syndrome: Case of Khalil Abdeslem Primary School, Tlemcen
(University of Tlemcen, 2026-03-09) Amiri Wissam
The support of individuals with special needs, particularly children diagnosed with Down syndrome
(DS), is a significant global problem that requires comprehensive services. Although expressive
language has been widely explored, it remains important to understand receptive language.
Therefore, the present research tends to examine receptive vocabulary comprehension in DS
children, identifying factors that influence this comprehension to guide interventions strategies. This
research employed a deductive reasoning framework, utilizing an exploratory, single instrumental,
and holistic case study approach with a mixed-methods design. The research was conducted in
Tlemcen province, including Down syndrome children and their teachers. Data collection involved
semi-structured interviews non-participant classroom observation, complemented by two
standardized tests. The results revealed that receptive vocabulary challenges vary with intellectual
disability severity and social skills development. Trisomy 21 impairs memory and language-related
areas, though vocabulary depth (word meaning) is not significantly more impacted than breadth
(word recognition). The study highlighted the necessity of providing tailored communication
supports for language comprehension
L’impact du projet pédagogique dans l’enseignement du FLE : Cas de la 5 e A.P
(University of Tlemcen, 2026-03-09) BENACHOUR Nadia
(University of Tlemcen, 2026-03-09) HOUARI Rania
